ジャン=フィリップ・メルカールト Jean-Philippe Merckaert

ベルギー生まれ。パリ国立高等音楽院でオルガンをオリヴィエ・ラトリー、ミシェル・ブヴァールに師事し、2005年プルミエ・プリを得て卒業。ベルギーではブリュッセルのベルギー王立音楽院にてジャン・フェラーにオルガンを師事し、2008年修士号を取得。モンス王立音楽院にてクラシック作曲法を学び、2007年修士号を取得。2007年、フライベルクにおけるジルバーマン国際オルガンコンクール第2位、2009年、ブルージュ国際古楽コンクールオルガン部門第2位受賞。
2003年から1年間札幌コンサートホールKitara専属オルガニスト、2011～14年まで所沢市民文化センター ミューズ ホールオルガニストを務めた。現在、東京芸術劇場オルガニスト、那須野が原ハーモニーホールオルガニスト、聖グレゴリオの家宗教音楽研究所講師、片倉キリストの教会オルガン教室講師。近年、オーケストラ曲の編曲にも力を入れており、様々な演奏会で好評を得ている。CDは「ヨハン・ゼバスティアン・バッハ　ライプツィヒ手稿からのコラール集（2枚組）」（スイス）、「フランク、ドビュッシー、サン＝サーンス オルガン編曲集」（パリ）、「シャルル＝マリー・ヴィドール　オルガン交響曲　第5番」（那須野が原ハーモニーホール）をリリース。
　

Jean-Philippe Merckaert

Born in Belgium, studied organ with Olivier Latry and Michel Bouvard at the Paris Conservatoire, where they graduated in 2005 with the Premier Prix. In Belgium, they studied organ with Jean Ferrard at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, earning a Master's degree in 2008. They also studied Classical Composition at the Royal Conservatory of Mons, obtaining a Master's degree in 2007. In 2007, they won second place at the Silbermann International Organ Competition in Freiberg, and in 2009, second place in the Organ category at the Bruges International Early Music Competition.
From 2003 to 2004, they served as the resident organist at Sapporo Concert Hall Kitara. Between 2011 and 2014, they were the organist at Tokorozawa Civic Cultural Center Muse Hall. Currently, they are the organist at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, Nasu-no-Gahara Harmony Hall, and serve as a lecturer at the Saint Gregory House Religious Music Research Institute and as an organ teacher at Katakura Christ Church.
In recent years, they have focused on orchestral arrangements, receiving favorable reviews for performances at various concerts. Their recordings include "Johann Sebastian Bach: Chorale Collections from the Leipzig Manuscripts (2-disc set)" (Switzerland), "Franck, Debussy, Saint-Saëns: Organ Arrangements" (Paris), and "Charles-Marie Widor: Organ Symphony No. 5" (Nasu-no-Gahara Harmony Hall).
